After 19 years, rape suspect caught – thanks to DNA data

The police have captured a 40-year-elderly person over an assault case that happened a long time back in Bagan Serai, Perak, in the wake of utilizing DNA information to distinguish him.

Bukit Aman CID chief Abd Jalil Hassan said the man was captured on Thursday night and was remanded at the Kerian region police headquarters until Monday.
